On Saturday our 2nd Team lost 13-14 and our 1st team won 13-5. Unfortunately the 1st team went down 1-8 on Sunday, after holding their own for 4 innings.
Our masters had a good win on Saturday, 20-3. Alan pitched a much better game and was well assisted by Le Roux behind the plate. Jakes threw the last frame to finish the game.
Andre and Chris shared 1st base and looked comfortable with the position. Morne had a quiet game at 2nd base. Bouts (kreepy krawly) looked more positive with the bat and also "introduced" himself to the newly laid grass!!!
Whatever John ate or drank before the game seemed to work. He batted and fielded very well. Our outfielders Mossie, Paul, Shawn and Dexter had very little to do.
Our batting was much better. We will have to maintain the same standard and more if we want to beat Lansdowne this coming Saturday.
Our 1st and 2nd Teams are home to VOB.

Our 2nd Team drew 3-3 and our 1st Team unfortunately went down 1-7. We have home games for the next 8 weeks, things CAN and WILL get better.
Our "A" diamond is looking very good. Great job Gavin!!!
Our Masters got off to a flying start on Saturday, scoring 3 runs in the opening inning. Bothasig soon equalised, and gradually took control of the game. We lost 7-25.
We batted very well, but they just batted better!! Homeruns were hit by Morne, John and Chris.
Chris and Paul shared the mound duties, and found things to be not so easy on the "hill". Jakes did a good job behind the plate.
Bouts het 'n goeie debuut gehad. Hoe voel daai skouer broer? Our outfielders Alan, Paul, Dave and Dexter had a very busy afternoon. Coach Andre en Le Roux het ook 'n verskying gemaak op die veld.
This weekend the club plays Westridge and the 1st Team has a game on Sunday as well, against Athlone.

Our 2nd team lost 1-6 and the 1st Team went down 4-9.
Our Masters game unfortunately never took place. 2 games were scheduled at the same time and on the same field for 13h15.
Efloan did request during the week to play the Masters game @ 14h30. We refused, as many guys had already made prior arrangements.
However, even if we did agree, the earlier game (13h15) would still have been in progress. Then they wanted to play at 16h00!!
Go figure!!!!!!
We claimed a 9-0 win, and of course the points.
This coming Saturday we play Bothasig away. They will have fires going etc..... bring and braai. I will confirm with them again during the course of the week.
